Weather Cooperates for the CBA's Annual Summer Party at the Tavern on the Water

The Charlestown Business Association held it's Annual Summer Party at Tavern on the Water on Tuesday, June 31st. Over 30 members showed their support for the CBA and attended this great social networking event to end the year, until meetings resume in September again.

The food was great, and included Steak, Bratwurst sausages, Caesar Salad, Roasted Pear Salad, Homemade Macaroni and home baked cookies. The weather held out for the evening, and it was a great social networking event!

June Event - "Recessionproof Your Business" Attendees Learn How to Make Netowrking a Tool for their Business.

The Charlestown Business Association and the BHCC Center for Entrepreneurship sponsored a Business Lunch and Seminar called "Recessionproof your Business". The Event took place June 3rd, at noon at BHCC Center for Entrepreneurship with approximately 30 people in attendance. The session will included a lunch and a Networking Presentation from speaker Richard Belofsky who will talked about the power of "network, or word of mouth" marketing.

June 30th, Annual Tavern on the Water Summer Social Networking Party

The CBA will be holding its "Annual Summer Party" on Tuesday, June 30th at the Tavern on the Water. This annual event is always a great time, with great networking and great food, overlooking the Boston Harbour. We hope for good weather for this event, and it is a great way to kick off the summer and end the CBA event year, until September. The event is $26 and tickets can be purchased here and on the CBA website.

The CBA on Linked In Gives Members more control over Business to Business Direct Communications - Join Today

Our new CBA Linked In Group is a great way for members to receive updated news, post topics and discussions, offer discounts, promote their own events and network with other Charlestown Business Association Members. Currently we have almost sixty members on our Linked In Group. This group is for Charlestown Business Association Members and their employees.

Third Annual Charlestown Market a Success!

The Third Annual Charlestown Open Market, sponsored by the Charlestown Retail Organization, was held on Saturday, June 13th. Open Market visitors were treated to over 40 local vendors and a rare sunny June day! Over 50% more vendors were present this year demonstrating the growing retail business climate of Charlestown. Representatives of many of Charlestown’s retail establishments were present as well as home-based entrepreneurs and artists displaying handmade clothing items, jewelry, books, artwork, cosmetics and more. Charlestown’s museums and non-profits attended as well as many of the local services. Several vendors donated items for a raffle which raised over $100 on behalf of the Bunker Hill Day Parade Committee. Thanks to all the participants and visitors for making the Third Annual Charlestown Open Market a success!

Save that Stuff Moves to a New Location!

Save That Stuff has grown out of its old space located in the Casella FCR facility and moved to a new office located in the Boston Autoport - just under the Tobin Bridge. This is thier first move in 18 years. The new office provides the company with more space, new offices for staff, and new storage for our equipment.

Save That Stuff has joined a group of businesses at this new location that's developing a Green Marine Industrial Park with plans for on-site renewable energy operations and expanded recycling opportunities. they are very excited by their new home!
